There’s No Place Like Home…

After having spent so much of the past year in strange places, I got hit by reverse culture shock coming back to the States. I forgot just how straightforward and friendly we are in America (no sarcasm here). People smile in passing, wait in line without invading personal space and generally manage to get your order right at a restaurant.

some clean swell, no wind and killer sunsets- a great way to start off the new year

Highlights included: surviving the 5th largest blizzard in New York City history, snowboarding in -25 degree Idaho and pulling on a fullsuit for the first time in two years to sample the finest marine treats of home.

One morning had the reefs down the street showing some size

Over the years I’ve had a love/hate relationship with Windan as the place can be really frustrating for your surfing, but I’m happy to say I left on a good note with a lot of love from the old girl…
